Looks pretty good. Certainly an improvement over the fickle belt drive system we currently have. Big question is whether it is upgradable on current boats already launched?

Any plan to offer hydro generation on this when sailing?

I believe the engine mounts will need to be moved aft by the width of the e-drive plus some room for maintenance. Might interfere with the rudder quadrant.

Correct, the engine beds will be lengthen but just over 5 inches to accommodate this system and should not create any interference

Hydro regen has been promised as a fast follow as a software update but TBD on the performance

The brochure states one of the 5 modes is generating power and driving power at the same time but the spec sheet has a note on it:

”The E-Drive system can EITHER generate power OR drive the boat, it cannot do both at the same time.”

    Which is true?

We asked the same question and found the same contradiction in the provided info. Once we hear back I will post an update

I see the brochure is from Navico. Does this imply Integrel is now a part of the Navico Group and if so, what does that mean for the Victron partnership?

Integrel has partnered with Navico which also means a potential shift to Mastervolt over Victron. This has not been confirmed as I do not believe Mastervolt has all the associated components ready for prime time

    Hey Patrick,

It’s Tiny Armagost aka 482 #30. We are definitely interested in E-DRIVE. This would absolutely replace the davit solar panel option.

I love the idea of eliminating the belt drive! However, I’m not seeing the point in the electric propulsion that is almost certainly going to be charged by a diesel engine. I’m not being facetious; I’m hoping for someone to fill me in! Granted, once hydro generation is available, it makes more sense.
